The Recreation Department offers a diverse range of activities tailored for youth aged 3-17. Whether you're looking to stay active, learn a new skill, or socialize with like-minded individuals, we have something for everyone.Acting and ImprovisationExcellent opportunity to gain the ability and confidence to express yourself.  Ballet Dance IParticipants  will learn the basic steps such as first position, second position, revele, and barre exercises.Ballet Dance IIParticipants  will learn the basic steps such as first position, second position, revele, and barre exercises.Basic DrawingStudents will learn the basics techniques of drawing with graphite pencil.CheerChildren will learn the basic motions, jumps, and chants to put it all together in a fun routine.Chews from the HeArtCalling on all young artists! Join Jamie Chew and the Color Crusaders in designing and painting custom shoes for a great cause. Each artist will create uniquely customized designs based on the preferences chosen by the recipient. Shoes and all painting materials will be provided. They will also learn to dance an Otea. Our senior programs are specifically designed for individuals aged 55 and over, offering a variety of fitness and wellness activities to promote health and well-being.Acrylic PaintingThis class is for both adults and senior citizens and taught in Spanish. A course in which students will learn the acrylic painting technique of colors, textures, blurring of color range, handling of light and shadow, and more! Please note that there is different skill levels; please register for the one according to your level of expertise. First day of classes will be used to determine participant's skill level. Participants may need to be removed from a class level they don't belong.Acting and ImprovisationExcellent opportunity to gain the ability and confidence to express yourself.  AerobicsJoin Lety in this low impact Aerobics class that strengthens the heart and improves overall fitness.Arts & CraftsJoin us and learn to create great arts and crafts pieces for your home or to gift to others. In this first beginner sewing class students will learn how to thread a sewing machine, wind a bobbin, sew a straight stitch and much more. Smart Phone PhotographyLearn to take photos like a professional with your cell phone, discover photography and editing techniques. Tai ChiThis class if for both adults and senior citizens. Tai Chi is an art that embraces the mind, body and spirit. Begin your journey to better health.Violin for BeginnersBeginner violin class where students will learn fundamental violin techniques, basic music theory, and fun beginner songs.YogaThis class is for both adults and senior citizens. Yoga helps reduce anxiety and stress. All levels welcomed. Please bring a yoga mat.Zumba for All This class is for youth, adults and Seniors and taught in Spanish. They will also learn to dance an Otea.
