The Recreation Department offers a diverse range of activities tailored for youth aged 3-17. Whether you're looking to stay active, learn a new skill, or socialize with like-minded individuals, we have something for everyone.
Artistic Drawing
Note: This class is in Spanish.
Student will learn the basics techniques of drawing with graphite pencil.
Ballet Dance I
Participants will learn the basic steps such as first position, second position, revele, and barre exercises.
Ballet Dance II
A continuation of Ballet I in which participants will continue learning and practice Ballet Dance skills.
Chews from the HeArt
Calling on all young artists! Join Jamie Chew and the Color Crusaders in designing and painting custom shoes for a great cause. Each artist will create uniquely customized designs based on the preferences chosen by the recipient. Shoes and all painting materials will be provided. Participants will be selected.
Crochet Classes

Join us for step-by-step Crocheting classes that will help you learn everything from beginner basics to Advanced techniques.
Fitness for the Fun of It
This class will feature warm-ups, stretching, dancing and several cooperative activities that promote color, number, and shape recognition. Please Bring water bottle.
Generation Pound
Required for class: Tennis shoes, Yoga mat & water bottle.
Generation pound is an inclusive youth-oriented program that fuses movement and music!
By combining exercise and interactive activities, kids will learn new ways to explore movements, embrace creativity and Rock OUT!
Guitar for Beginners
Required for class: Acustic guitar, notepad and pen.
Students will learn the basics such as chords, finger strumming, and will learn to play a song.
Karate Kofuja-Do
Karate provides a full-body workout while improving strength and condition.
Keyboard
Require for class: Keyboard with batteries.
A practical and simple method will be used in which students will learn the basics.
Kids Night Out
Join us for some board games, crafts indoor activities, movies and a snack.

Musical Theater
A fun and energetic class designed to help performers shine on stage! Build confidence while learning singing, choreography, and basic acting skills.
Polynesian Dance
Note: The class will be in Spanish.
Participants will learn the basic steps of Hula Ori Tahiti. They will also learn to dance an Otea. They will learn about the Hawaiian instrument IPU and the Tahitian instrument Toere.
Ritmo Latino
Have fun while learning to dance various styles of dance like Cumbia, Merengue, Bachata and others.
Singing Classes
This course is focused on vocal techniques development and choral ensemble training, includes repertoire preparation for a collective performance.
Violin for Beginners
Beginner violin class where students will learn techniques, basic music theory, and fun beginner songs. Limited instruments are available to borrow on a first-come, first-serve basis with a deposit, CASH ONLY.
Zumba for All
Note: This class is in Spanish.
This class is for youth, adults and Seniors and taught in Spanish. Help us keep you fit and active as you work out and dance with Erika.
