Folkloric Dance
Our senior programs are specifically designed for individuals aged 55 and over, offering a variety of fitness and wellness activities to promote health and well-being.

Acrylic Painting
This class is for both adults and senior citizens and taught in Spanish. A course in which students will learn the acrylic painting technique of colors, textures, blurring of color range, handling of light and shadow, and more! Please note that there is different skill levels; please register for the one according to your level of expertise. First day of classes will be used to determine participant's skill level. Participants may need to be removed from a class level they don't belong. This class is full, please call the office at (760) 768-2176 to join the wait list.

Acting and Improvisation
Excellent opportunity to gain the ability and confidence to express yourself.

Aerobics (Seniors)
Join Lety in this low-impact aerobics class that strengthens the heart and improves overall fitness. This class is full, please call the office at (760) 768-2176 to join the wait list.

Artistic Drawing
The drawing class  is designed for students beginning to love art.  In this creative environment, they can develop and explore the ability of different techniques such as such as pencil drawing and the scale of grays from other graphite qualities.

Arts & Crafts (Seniors)
Join us and learn to create great arts and crafts pieces for your home or to gift to others. No experience needed.

Baking for Seniors
Participants will learn to make amazing baked goods and will take them home after class.
Session 1: Marmalades and fillings: ganache & custards 
Session 2: Turnovers, empanadas
Session 3: Tarts with fruit filling
Session 4:  Carlota de Limon
Session 5: Apple pie
Session 6: Carrot cake
Session 7: Crape cake
Session 8: Simple cheesecake

Bingo
Enjoy a morning of fun with bingo, a game of chance.

Cardio Kickboxing
A 50-minute-cardio class with a core and stretch ending.  Enjoy a high intensity cardio kickboxing class guaranteed to push every fitness level.

Crafts, Sewing & More
This class will sure be fun! Learn a new craft/sewing skill with easy to follow tutorials. Need to bring your own sewing machine and a list of materials will be available at the Recreation Office. 
Session 1: Craft project: Piñata muñeca Lele.
Session 2: How to use a sewing machine, measurements, DIY apron.
Session 3: Craft project: Catrina doll.
Session 4: Sewing Project: Shorts/pants.
Session 5: Craft/Sewing Project: Thanksgiving tablecloth and napkins.
Session 6: Craft/Sewing Project: Christmas tablecloth and napkins. 
Session 7: Craft Project: Decorate shoes with faux stones and pearls.
Session 8: Craft Project: Bows and headbands.
Session 9: Sewing Project: Tulle skirt and canvas Frida bag.
Session 10: Craft Project: DIY hand-painted hat.
Session 11: Sewing Project: Different sleeve styles and how to hem pants.
Session 12: Sewing Project: Circular skirt and blouse.
Session 13: Craft Project: How to decorate a dessert table and balloon arch.
Session 14: Craft Project: Eternal flowers.

Crochet Club
This is a club and not a instructional class.  If you enjoy crocheting, then this is the club for you. Share with others your patterns and get ideas for new projects.

Folkloric Dance
Learn about this beautiful dance and its techniques; arm, head, and waist movement, stomping, and turns. Folkloric dance skirts will be provided during class.

Guitar for Beginners
Students will learn the basics such as chords, finger strumming, and will learn to play a song.

Hula Dance
Participants will learn to coordinate their bodies to dance the hula.  This class helps with body movement coordination and provides an excellent opportunity to stay healthy.

Keyboard
A practical and simple method will be used in which students will learn the basics.

Personal Motivation
Inspiring volunteer therapist, Luis Flores, leads this motivational group.

Pilates
Pilates is a form of exercise that concentrates on strengthening the body with an emphasis on core strength. Come discover what pilates can do for you.

Tai Chi
This class if for both adults and senior citizens. Tai Chi is an art that embraces the mind, body and spirit. Begin your journey to better health.

Yoga
This class is for both adults and senior citizens. Yoga helps reduce anxiety and stress. All levels welcomed. Please bring a yoga mat. This class is full, please call the office at (760) 768-2176 to join the wait list.

Zumba for All 
This class is for youth, adults and Seniors and taught in Spanish. Help us keep you fit and active as you work out and dance with Erika.

Zumba Gold
Dance through your workout session with Jacky. This class is a fun way to start your morning while keeping active and healthy.
